I am new here.

Id liek you guys to tell me these systems i customized worth the price.

First, of all, I have a budget of 900$Can (shipping and taxe must be included, so system must be around 750-770$Can)
All I want is a am2 x2 dual core system (core 2 duo was prefered but its to expensive), a 1gb ddr2, a 7600 or x1600 pci-e serie video card (for playing games at decent performance) and 160gb hd.

For the motherboard, and the power supply i have no idea what to take so i just took the cheapest one (being sure it contains ddr2 slot and pci-e)

I need also a 19inch lcd.

So I have customized these 2 desktop pc. You can click on the button "customized" to see other option i can take. Can you guys tell me:
1. is it worth it?
2. is the motherboard ok?
3. is the power supply ok? will it make lots of noise (i need some silent fan)?
4. is the memory brand and speed ok?
4. is the video card model ok, or should i pay a little more and get a better model?
5. which one of the system do you think is the best one?

Actually for being pre-made computers they're not using bad parts. Kingston memory, Asus motherboards, western digital hard drivers, sony optical drivers, Antec PSU's...all tried and true brand names. My concern would be their quality control and making sure they don't slip a few refurbed parts in there. Just research the guys before you make a purchase, see if you can find anything on the web with satisfied customers. They do have a warranty though.

My suggestions...if you're going to use the second retailer and you can adjust the configuration pay the few extra $$ for the Kingston memory over generic, research Asus and MSI and figure out which one you want for motherboards because they are about the same price, add a second optical drive so you can have a game loaded and still have a free drive, consider the X1950 Pro over the X1650 if budget allows...you will notice a difference, consider an Antec power supply of higher wattage if you do decide on a better card. The "SP-500" they have listed there for +$77 is the Smart Power 500 watt. I have one and it's pushing a 8800GTS and it's very reliable and quiet. Also I've heard good and bad stuff about Acer monitors. I don't have any first hand experience with them so I don't want to comment too much but you can upgrade to an LG for $30. You might want to consider that too. Now if you have a solid $900 budget you will have to go with some of the cheaper stuff but I put the configuration above together for $985.

Edit: I just noticed all of the video card choices in the second one...you could basically go with anything. Just make sure you match a power unit that's capable for handling the card you choose. I saw you said you didn't know about power supplies so you just chose the cheapest one. The cheapest power supply they have and something like an X1950 Pro or a 7950GT wont be the best idea. It would work but I'd suggest having a safety zone in there....underpowering a system can damage it.

hey, in the etc-computer system, i decided to upgrade to a x1600xt since ppl told me the x1600 is crap beside it.
But then i realized that its price was beside the x850xt and the 6800xt one, so which one between these i should take?



1. Sapphire Radeon X1600XT 256mb DDR2 pci-e
2. Sapphire Ati Radeon X850XT 256mb GDDR3 pci-e (+11$ than the first one)
3. XFX GeForce 6800XT 256mb Extreme pci-e (+17$ than the first one)

(it try to look on google for the 6800xt and found it for around 140$ (thats the rpice listed on their website; i did the same for the x850xt, but i found it for around 350-400$ everywhere on google except 1 site when i foudn it for 130$???? lol i am all messed up)

Oh yeah, I've heard a lot of people don't like them. I suggested it because of his budget. I've owned two and never had a problem with either though. A lot of people don't like them but personally I trust them. I've thrown 7900GT's, 8800GTS's, overclocked CPU's, ect. at them and they've never given me any problems. If you want to bash them that's fine I know some people dislike the Smart Power. They had better Antecs on there...the Neo Power, the True Power Trio 550 and 650...all better choices but more expensive.
