Hi, I'm trying to play music into a ventrilo server while also being able to talk. I'm forced to use itunes at the moment (since iPod has 6k songs on it and a reformatted HDD has zero). I've searched my balls off for two days with no luck findind anything that has really helped me, and am still waiting on activation code for my ventrilo support forum account.
So far I've tried running two app's of ventrilo. The first set up to play music into the channel (in setup the input device is set to "stereo mix") (also everyone else is muted) Call this user "DJ" . The second app would be the one that I use to talk and listen to other people on (in setup the input is set to "mic volume")(with "DJ muted") Call this app "Player". The problem comes now with that either ventrilo, my sound card (onboard sound, realtek from Asus P5W DH Deluxe) can't broadcast the two channels at once? I think??? It either plays the music in fine, but when I got to talk on the app "Player" it just plays music for the time I try to talk, or it plays no music on app "DJ" and works normally on app "Player" when I try to talk. I've read some Mac users have been able to set something up that works fine using this guide http://www.ventrilo.com/forums/archi...p/t-11911.html It uses a program called JackOSX that as far as I understand it allows you to set a programs output directly to an audio channel. i.e) Set iTunes to a channel that vent could pick up? ... This seems like the same thing I'm trying to accomplish?... **Edit** http://www.jackosx.com/ is the programs site - only for MAC - I run XP - Haven't found a compatible program (not that I know where to look other than google) Anyways, I'm very confused now. Any help is appreciated. Maybe someone here has/does this or is familiar with ventrilo. If not thanks for the look, and anyone that helped me build this new computer. (It ****in rocks!!!!!!!!!!!)
