well, my mom wants my brothers laptop (my old laptop) to have "parental controls" so he can only be on the computer, not just the internet for four hours. Is there a program that is free that can kick him off the computer or can i set time limits like said he can be on between 8 am and 8 pm but only 4 hrs a day.

Add a windows login password
Enable local security policy to lock it out during disallowed hours.

I have XP home. I dont think it has that. Any other way? We cant always keep an eye on him and hes sneaky so...

Check! It has Local Security Policy, it's just a matter of how much control you have..

I have parental control for the internet that he can beon from 8am-8pm but he can only be on for four hours a day between those hours. I would like the same thing for the actual computer itself. Praetor, i did a check, still not finding the local security policy in XP home. Care to share?
