core duo 2.. dontlisted to the specifications, well alittle bit. its usually faster than intel says it is . ive overclocked a slot 1 1990s 400mhz cpu to 550+ mhz... somehow

I am fairly happy with my Pentium D945 3.4 Ghz Dual Core Processor. It performs very well for me. But that said, I would swap for the core 2 duo anyday. they are just so much better.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm definitely going to go with the Core 2 Duo. I'm obviously no expert on these things, but the clock speed just made me nervous at first, that's all. But anything would be an upgrade from my current Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz Thanks again for the help.

Except for the Pentium D 805, which may perform a bit worse at times
