Default Fat32 or NTFS?

Should i use the Fat32 or NTFS formate for the master drive with OS installed?

The OS is installed on one hard drive with two partitions. The smaller partition has the OS installed on it. It was formated with Fat32 when i installed the XP. the other partition is NTFS.

Which formate is better? If it is NTFS how can i change the Fat32 to NTFS without reinstalling OS again?

Thanks

NTFS is better, FAT32 is really only good for thumb drives and smaller formatted memory cards like secure digital, etc.
