Hello
I have a number of files (maybe 20-50 gb? not sure exactly) on my old laptop that I would like to get to my desktop in the most efficient method possible. I am willing to spend a little money on a cable or whatever if that would speed the process up alot. What is my best approach to getting the data from the laptop to my computer? It is Windows 98 SE with a NIC card and I could hook it up potentially to my router so it could have connectivity. What i'm thinking my options are : hook it up to my network, share files, do it that way? hook up some sort of cable and do a direct transfer? send myself the files over MSN ? ^_^ The ideal solution, if this is going to take > 2 hours, would be something I could do right before I go to sleep, so not something I have to check yes to every 5 minutes... but I guess if that's what I have to do its what I have to do. Please help! |
