Default Stop threads with 0 responses dying

Ok rather than posting over 2000 posts in a yes or no game, how about we all make a point to answer all the real posts/questions with 0 responses that slowly die on the site.

the way to do this is simple:
Goto search (and click advanced search)
or click here -> http://www.computerforum.com/search.php

then
1) Select "Find Threads with" AT MOST 0 responses
2) Ensure to select the sub-forum you want (maybe select "all open forums")
3) Press search

Hey presto all the threads that are currently with 0 responses. How about you guys used those IT skills you have and answer some of these

It may result in some old threads resurrected (lets not get silly and answer a thread with 0 responses from 2005) but when someone google hits this site with the same questions at least they will get a proper answer.

Hows that for staters

hey i searched and this one came out top

It's a craking idea to be fair as i've noticed quite a few before that drop by the wayside (including a couple of my own). Personally i'm starting to make more of a conscious effort to contribute to the IT side rather than just wading about in off topic.

Right, off i go to see what i can find

yeah same here, But the majority of time the reason they haven’t got any replies whatsoever is because they either just don’t make sense, Probably because of English isn’t their main language or its just a topic that nobody’s interested in really.

But yeah i do also look through the forums for threads that haven’t had any replies like Kornowski to see what help i can give.#

Great idea though apj101

Good idea, I do this at a spyware removal forum I help at, but it's a bit busier than here (for Hijackthis logs), usually takes about 3 days for the user to get a response. I'd better go check the Security section

nah, I wouldn't say that is the majority of cases, but if you do find a thread that makes no sense, there is no harm in saying "could you rephrase this please"
