ok i've been looking at some of the better mobo's and i ran across this 1 by Asus.

ASUS P5N32-E SLI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

i think it has everything i need, i plan on having a quad core intel CPU, 2x500GB seagate barracudas, and w/e video card by nvidea has the most kick-a$$ery at the time that im looking to by, 8GB of ddr2 800 ram (240 pin), will run 64bit vista....

the form is what i want. it comes with all the cabling im going to need, does anyone have any news about it? does it play well with others? it seems very nice, but you never can tell with mobo's (although Asus is usually pretty good). any input would be greatly appreciated....o and cost isnt an issue

that is a good one except for a few things

the asus seems to have a better LAN chipset

the asus has a coax out

and the asus got better reviews from people trying to run SLI

although the EVGA does take slightly higher speed RAM (ddr 1200 instead of 800) i prefer 800 because it usually offers lower latency....and while i know a lot of ppl will take higher speed over lower latency, the lower latency 800 is usually easier to work with even when overclocking.

also the EVGA offers more USB ports...but am i really going to use more than 4? no, like i said cost is not an option and im trying to make my entire home wireless (at least as much as i can), because wireless is how everything eventually and its just less clutter.

also a few people had problems getting the QX6700 cpu to work (which im almost sure was probably operator error, but you never know)

By that logic getting DDR2-533 will be the best choice.

The eVGA offers up to DDR2-1200 RAM, not just DDR2-1200. Which means that if you bought DDR2-800, you could more easily overclock it to close to DDR2-1200 without the motherboard causing problems because of the high RAM speed.

I had the eVGA 680i and loved it, great overclocker with lots of options, but it's up to you.
