Default Help with new surround sound speakers?

Recently I have become interested in getting a nicer sound system for my computer, and have already talked to my parents about getting something nice for Christmas (luckily still get presents like that.) So I have been researching all sorts of surround sound systems for computers. I've looked at Bose, Klipsch, Creative, Logitech and Sony.. mainly.

I have a Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS sound card (if that is important at all). I will mainly be playing music and some video games. I want to have this setup surround my room (its a small dorm room).

So far I have found:

http://www.klipsch.com/products/disc...ultra-5-1.aspx .. the problem with this is that it is discontinued, which scares me. Though, it is almost exactly what I want and it is Klipsch, which I have come to learn is pretty damn nice.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...120&Tpk=z-5500 .. I also found these. They keep popping up in my research and seem to be pretty damn nice. They are a bit cheaper.

What do you guys think? All I want is like a 5 speaker, subwoofer setup that is good. I can spend a decent amount of money on this, but nowhere over a thousand (I could convince my parents maybe that far)

PLEASE help me and give better information than the random forums I have attempted to consult so far.

Also, I have the Bose Mediamate speakers right now.. which are pretty nice but I am looking for a little bit more power.
