Default HP laptop with built in webcam and vista

I had xp, got free upgrade to vista, my webcam works because i tested it with youtubes built in webcam recorder, but i cannot just run the webcam like i could in xp where it would show up beside my drives. Is there a way to run the webcam to take pictures with it like in xp, with vista?

I checked up on the hp website, and as far as i can tell, i doesn't have a program simlar to the one on xp that let you open it. I am assuming I will have to find some sort of webcam recording program free somewhere.
but since Best Buy game me this laptop for free, i can't complain too much. Oh wait, they gave it to me for free becasue i did complain so much. I guess i will keep it up.
