Default downloading a music lisence?

I had to download a music license for one of my bands tracks i put on my computer. does anyone know what a music lisence is? i don't know exactly what it does or anything but it microsft downloads somthing onto your pc to keep track of how many times that song gets played or somthing...

does anyone know why it had to download one for one of my bands tracks?

1st time i heard of such a thing... track license... LOL

how low can they get?
anyway... im sure u can get this file in some other way with not needing to confirm anything...

did u dl this file in iTune?

its probably a wma file. anyway it depends on what file u hosted it on. and whether it got modified on the way there. liscenses are useless, they just make it so u cant play it after a certain time.

use mp3 format - its the most mainstream. and best.

nope. if you read my post above you, you would see that it's a track that my band recorded. i ripped it off CD on my friend PC, put it to my flashdisc and then put it on my PC.

oh i see - then you must have used windows media player to rip it then.
