Compaq Laptop Wireless Not Working

1.8 GHZ Compaq laptop. The wirelss died. Integrated. 1 day later my friend says his wireless went out. What should I do.

Is it the intel 2200 wireless card, if it is those are known to be junk. I had one that died on me.

it you dont want to go through RMA trouble just get a wireless usb adapter

it will still work for a laptop, itll just be a hassle

I don't know of any laptop that doesn't have a miniPCI wireless card. Most are easily accessible by a bottom "door". Look for that, pop out the old card, and purchase a replacement.
