Default College laptop

Hi..I'm having a lot of trouble finding a laptop for college. I want a laptop that can run schoo applications well as long as new video games. I want a laptop that can do the best it can for gaming, because thats my main hobby...Can anyone point out some good laptops for what I want for about 1200- 1250 dollars? Thanks...any advice or opinions will be greatly appreciated!

You can try customizing one.

www.dell.com
Or
www.hp.com

Those are two well known computer brands.

For good gaming and school applications, get a dual core processor. And 1gb memory minimum. And if you can, 2gb cause of vista.

Good Luck
And post any questions or concerns here.

ibuypower.com has some decent stuff, I am gonna buy from there. Dell, HP, Toshiba, and Sony don't use all genuine parts. The upgradability for ibuypower laptops is probably better than any other one on the market. Alienware is just way too pricey, they need to quit innovating and lower their prices.

Look at the Dell Inspiron e1705 or XPS1210. The e1705 has a 7900GS Go option, which is a killer card ( I love mine), but a 17 inch screen and sub par battery life. The 1210 has a 12.1 inch screen and the option to get a Go 7400 which is a nice card, but is a much better college laptop due to the size, It also features a build in webcam which potentially you could record lectures with.

True, but the Go 7400/Go 7900GS are much better compared the the X1400(the 7300 is lesser than the X1400), all the same a respectable computer
