Understanding Intel Speeds

Why is it that the Pentium4-550 is so much more powerful than its equivalent, the AMD 550? Tested it against the AMD 600 and AMD 900 too but the Intel machine was still faster

whats going on here??!

... You'd think a Pentium4-550 would be comparable to an AMD 550.

Probably because The Pentium4-550 is not built around a Cyrix 333MX core.
