Default 54 C an ok temp when running a game?

Is 54 C anything to worry about when playing a game or is this too high ?

Whats the highest it would go before dying?

Thats a good temperature, most video cards can withstand up within 100C, but you don't want to run it there.

Ok cool, i didnt think that my zalman was doing its job properly, so its not in any danger at all?

Put it this way, the threshold on my 7900GS (the point where it sets off a warning) is 135'C.

I didnt realise graphics cards could go so high. Now that i installed a PCI exhaust fan just under the graphics card irun at about 43 C whilst playing games - which is very good now

43C is excellent.

With my zalman I idle at 39C and while playing 3d games it maxes out at 52C. You are safe.

54 is definitely ok, my 7900GT's default threshold before any thermal management takes effect is 120 C.
