I would like to setup a home media center pc that i would use for my tv but since its always going to be on i would like to use it as my network file server as well. I really have no idea where to start. I was thinking to go with amd opteron cpu but is that really overkill? I need something powerful enough to handle a small server and media center and it have to be power efficient. Any suggestions would really help me.
