Hi, I just recently bought an HP Pavilion laptop.
I downloaded Audacity recording program onto my computer, and it recorded fine. But then I went to windows sound settings, and changed the quality of the recording, and now it doesn't work. Whenever I click record in Audacity, it says check the device and project sample rate. I can't access the recording settings on windows anymore at all because whenever I go into it it gets stuck. The hour glass thing just shows up and I have to use the task manager to get out of it. BTW, this is on Vista OS. Anyone know why whenever I try and access the recording settings in Windows, it gets stuck? I tried restarting but it still does this. Thanks. |

Try uninstalling Audacity first, or trying it in safe mode.
