Default Problem with login for Windows XP - Registry File

Just recently my computer was freezing up so I forced a shutdown. When I booted it back up and logged in, and error appeared saying that it can't find one of the registry files needed to start windows xp so it had to use an alternative back-up file. Its just really annoying me when this message appears every time I start my laptop. Is there a way to get the registry file back?

Type down the exact message and registry file it is pointing to and put it here.

Or, take a screenshot of the message and put it here. Other than that, we are as clueless as you as what to do without knowing anything but that you have a registry problem.
