so digg.com is this site right? where users submit content, people vote for the stories they like. this site is freaking huge........been around since late 2004.

Well today there have been dozens of stories posted about the hd dvd decrypting key......and hundreds if not thousands of comments have been posted with the key as well. A lot of the comments and articles have been deleted and many users accounts have been banned which has pissed off the community. Its caused a huge shitstorm and the whole digg community is currently in an uproar. A perfect example of Civil disobedience.

From what I gather digg.com actual accpets money for adds of some sort from hd-dvd so there is a bit of conflict of interest. Digg is also getting numerous cease and desist letters and a lot of legal pressure from their lowers.

Currently Digg is down, and latest post on their blog made by kevin rose, is saying they will not delete any more posts with the key and its going to go down fighting. He also said digg doesn't have the funds to fight it out in coart. So digg may be dead, and if not, they've lost a ton of users and a lot of users' respect.

Censorship for the loss.
