Default How Do I?

I know this is an easy task for those of you that have computer experience, I do not!
How can I transfer all my email on to a disk to store it so I can delete it from my inbox?

Oh, ummm, here is where my lack of computer experience kicks in
I access my email through my service provider.
From there I can just select "mail".
I don't know if that answers your question or not.
I am using an older system and it has windows millenium installed on it.

The program you use to check mail should say what it is on the top bar.
