not sure I don't really own or support many dell machines, never loaded Linux on one before either. I assume it is like any other machine though. From the looks of it, you can download custom images of the OS from Dell's website which will have native support for their hardware.

Good a little more diversity, will help out the industry. The only questions and problems you see are with Windows, not Linux, b/c the smart ppl move to other OS's, and the other OS's don't have as much difficulty.

The page now seems to have gone. Maybe a premature announcement?

I've installed Feisty Fawn on my Optiplex but I've yet to work out how to get the internal speaker working, or whether to just drag my 2.0 system out. Otherwise stability and power is good.

well it was slashdotted and dugg so I bet bandwidth was high so they probably just got rid of that page to keep their hosting costs down haha.

Either way it had a big ubuntu wall paper. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.

What do you mean by internal speaker? I run Ubuntu Fiesty Faun on an OptiPlex GX1 and it automatically detected the speakers.
