HERE: when you load internet explorer, you see a blue bar at the top of the screen, it will say "your wesite you at" - microsoft internet explorer. right beneath it will be the menu : FILE, EDIT, VIEW, FAVORITES, TOOLS, and HELP. click the view button, and click status bar. if you need any clearer just ask =)

do you have any other browsers installed? This sounds fishy and could be malware/spyware/virus related. I would just try unintsalling IE and reinstalling it from add/remove programs under control panels in windows. You should be able to get rid of it and then readd it back.
Did virgin make you install anything when you signed up for their service? |
