I have a 5.1 speaker system (Klipsch) connected to my SB Audigy 2zs Platinum. Windows and Creative settings are set for 5.1 sound, yet when I play any music on the pc, you can only hear out of the R and L front speakers, plus the sub. When I do diagnostic test they pass and when I do speaker test, sound is heard in all 5 speakers. I recieved a demo cd from creative with DVD audio and all 5 speakers work with it. The problem is when I play any other audio on the computer. What do I need to do to fix this?

Probably nothing...because there is nothing to be done. Not every DVD plays on 5.1 system, most of the time ou have to choose if want to play it in stereo (dolby or whatever) on a two-way system or through a specific 5.1 output. DVDs or audio CDs which do not support 5.1 output are played by default on a two way system...

There should be a setting somewhere that allows you to mimic 5.1 sound with stereo audio files. I have a creative 5.1 system and it plays through all 5 speakers + sub with normal audio files.

Be sure all software is loaded for the card and maybe some new options will turn up. As mentioned, even 5.1 stereo systems typically just play in 2.1. Mine for example in normal mode will just play 2.1 until you stick a DVD in that supports 5.1. There is a "music" option for 5.1 on files that don't support surround sound, but typically the sound is quite horrible.
