View Single Post - installing wondows xp pro on a pre installed vista system

I got a new computer a few months ago and in came pre installed with Vista. Some old programs i really liked wouldn't work because it is a 64-bit operating system. So I bought Windows XP Pro online and when I tried to install it an error popped up and my computer froze. I pressed the reset button and tried to install it again and the error still popped up. Does anyone know what I can do to stop this error?
