Default XP do not allow other users to view my documents

Hey guys,

Do you know how to solve this problem? I inadvertently deleted the XP OS on a second partition of my laptop. Unfortunately, I did a dumb thing by not moving the files from My Documents to some other destination first. Now, I can't access the documents on this partion from my primary partition because sometime in the past, I told XP not to let other users view those documents. Now, I'm not trying to "hack" into other people's stuff, these are MY documents. I do have full admin privilege, so any help on how to recover the documents from the other partition in the other partion's My Documents?

I should also add that I know the user's password, whose documents I cannot access from an XP on another partition because that user is ME. If it were only that simple as to input the user's password in order to gain access to the documents within...

I think it's a little too late for that. Anyways, would you know that if I run a live CD of some Linux distro, would I be able to access those files?
