Default Choppy web page scrolling

just as the title says. i was wondering why the screen isnt smooth when i scroll up and down a web page. i just got a new dell and reformatted and didnt know if there was something i forgot to re-install or adjust. thanks in advance

Yeah, depending on how you scroll IE touchpad or mouse scroll wheel, there might be a setting on the amount of lines it covers. this could make it look wierd because of the differences. ( not sure how to describe it best).
But I would have to agree with maddhatter and try the graphics drivers first.

Yes..Its display drivers. Soon as you have installed and rebooted, the problem will go.

well i went to dell.com to get my driver and once i installed it and restarted i get an error message that says it failed to open and click 'ok' to terminate. im currently re-downloading it and am going to try to re-install it but if that doesnt work, is there something i missed or screwed up?

nevermind, problem fixed. i just installed the driver by itself rather than installing the control center with it. thanks for your help guys
