Just downloading the demo of Armed Assualt. Anyone experienced this game? Whats your views?

i personally found it to be a terrible game...good concept but really hard and after playing other first persons hooters i found the aiming ridiculous. Thats my opinions on it but some people seem to like it so good luck to you with that

I have played it and I find it to be a very good game overall. Sure there are things that need to be improved, but usually that's the case with many other games too. The aiming takes a bit of time getting used to. I like how you can switch to another member in your team if you do happen to die.

I didnt like it, its just another cloan of all the other games in its genre... there are alot of games out like it and this is just like them... annoying really the screenies made it look damn good

Theirs no other game like it all the others are arcade games. Armed assault is not everyones cup of tea its designed as a real combat simulator that allows all types of combat sea, air, vehicles and troops at the same time on a 200 sq mile island crammed full of detail. it comes with a map editor so you can add all sorts of troops, tanks, aircraft and place them in groups so they are under the command of an officer once placed on the giant map and you start if one platoon identifies an enemy all on the map are alerted to it and this alows you to set up very large scale wars that run on their own with you taking part. Thing of any war or battle and you can make it, think of any weather or terrain type it's there for some this will be boring as in real life a war takes ages troops are scattered far apart and the island is huge 40mins to run across if you run east to west coast with no stops or walks.

One thing you might not like is you have to lay down to get the best aim just as you do in real life then right click and hold to bring in your riffle sight s close and hold your breath. Thats how UK soilders shoot hoolding your breath too long and you get un comfy and the aim is as worse as breathing at the same time.

when you shoot gravity pulls at your bullet and also this gets worse as your bullets speed slows down.

A lot hate this as it is hard to hit ai troops who behave like professionals killing you with one shot from 300 meteres or a tanks ammo compartment blowing up and killing you with the shrapnel blast.

You will be in the back of an armoured personel carrier on the way to some reported fighting and after 10 mins of travel and no action your killed instantly by the enemy mine or anti tank helicopter.

If fighting online you may be killed and have to respawn 10 miles away, arcade gamers are used to respawning 200ft away.

At the moment Armed assault is in a half finnished state its a total mess and runs worse on the best graphics cards and sound vanishes trextures go missing and the sound is awfull.

This is a sequil to Operation Flashpoint so theirs already a modding cominity building weapons, vehicles, troops and sounds, textures and effects that the makers didn't have time to make. give it another 2 months and you have the worlds best ever realistic combat simulator thats available to consumers this company created the battle simultor for the US marine core and Australia forces. Their already making a version of Armed Assault to replace the Marine Cores current simulator only diference is more content and more edit options like live battle map editing. Server hosts for Armed Assault can set up 100 v 100 players all having over a days worth of fighting.

If you don't like Armed Assault after the next 1.07 patch and adding the already large amout of free real sound addons and weapons then you dont like real warfare. battle Field is prob more your game jumping to avoide bullets and still managing to run and fight after taking 3 hits to the chest and the cramped small battle zone.
