Default Images opening in IE when Firefox is default

Ok,

I have Firefox set to be my default web browser. However, when I save images to my desktop, they always open in IE and I usually get the dreaded RED X. I know how to rt clk and open with Firefox, but how do I get them to automatically open in Firefox, so I can upload them to my photo sharing account?

If your trying to Change the Default program it opens with then Right-Click on the Picture, Put your cursor over the Open With menu, a sub Menu should pop out, Select Choose Program....

Then select FireFox from the list and Tick the box under the List saying Always use the selected program to open this kind of file

Hope this helps

Ha I wish I would have asked you long ago, but I was trying to be a do it yourselfer googlist.

I messed with installing and reinstalling security features, trying every different filename possible dating back to pictograms, fiddling around in the registry, and swearing......Now there is no more red x!!! HAHA..Thanks!
