Default Sending Large Files - How?

What is the best way to send a large file for example a film or something? I have previously seen people just send a link to someone and the file be stored on this link. How would this be done?

LARGE FILES. There is a 50mb limit on 4shared unless you are willing to pay.

Those type of links are most likely from places such as megaupload and rapidshare, the most common two. The only question now is how big the file itself is.

I often use www.yousendit.com

Allows you to send up to 100mb. They will delete the file after a certain amount of downloads/days though.

When I need to send large files I use AOL Instant Messenger, and do Get File. Then from who ever you want to give the file to can get it from there.

Well that will depend on how big the file is. If it is 100 mb or lower I recommend www.rapidshare.com or any other sites that have been recommend before my post.

But if it is bigger then 100MB that then I suggest you make your own ftp site.

if you use archiving software like winrar for example, you can split the file into multiple files at x amount size. For example gmail has a 10MB attachment limit and I once had to mail someone through their gmail account (it was their only email access) and 30MB file. So, I sent three seperate emails with three seperate attachments at 10MB ea. using winrar.
