Default programs that won't die

Hi. I'm using Windows XP Professional. I recently installed Pinnacle Studio 10 and Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and then uninstalled them through Control Panel>Ad/Remove Programs. However, the space on my hard disk remains diminished. I started out with 5.31GB of used space and now it's up to 8.49 GB. How do I get rid of those 3.18GB that I don't want?

Thanks, and if I'm posting in the wrong forum, just point me in the right direction.
