registration flagging up

hi there. I wonder if you may be able to help.
I have just bought a compaq v6000 with vista premium. every 30 minutes, a window flags up with a registration reminder for compaq products. there are 3 choices, register now, register later, and do not remind me anymore. No matter which one I choose, the window still flags up every 30 mins.
Anyone any ideas?

Your help would be appreciated

what products are there to be registered? and have you acutally registered any of them?

its just to register the pc "to maximise your ownership and support experience" whatever THAT means!!

lol, if i were you, i would jsut register, it might help when you have issues, i dont know lol. but it also might make it go away lol.

tried all that and it still comes up. apart from that, it's a fantastic laptop. very stylish

well, all i can think of to suggest is:

Try again
Contact the manufacturer / where you bought it from
reformat it (bit extreme)
erm
throw it out the window

thats all i can suggest

lol. someone else might know how to fix it, but i cant think of anything at the moment (sorry).

(p.s. not all of them were serious lol ).
