Hi,
Is it possible to let Windows automatically configure/adjust the size of Quick Launch for you so that when a new shortcut is added, it will make room for it without the hassle of unlocking the tool bar, increasing it's size yourself and then locking the toolbar? Thanks, Oli |

It takes like 6 seconds to do that.... a total of what 3 clicks and a drag, then two clicks.... are you really that lazy
and no, this is not a feature of windows, and i havent heard of a 3rd party app doing it... tbh, what would be the point... dragon

Yes I'm really that lazy.
Actually, I'm not. Just I like the idea that the computer can do a lot of things for me. My grandparents have their computer do it for them :S. I don't understand how it's done though. There's no setting for it anywhere. |

Well as dragon said, if you're seriously too lazy to do it yourself, I beleive double-clicking on the divider(when the taskbar's unlocked) should resize it. I beleive it shows all. However, I typically only have two icons down there

The taskbar has to be unlocked to do that, so it would be just as much work
.It's not that I'm lazy! I just like the idea that the computer can do a lot of things, such as this, for me. And If I can enhance the computer's ability to do that, well- that's what I want to do! When I double click it, it minimizes the quick launch to show just two icons. When I double click it once more, it fills up the entire task bar. |

What's so bad about leaving it unlocked? It was on older OS's
![]() And right... I couldn't remember if it would just do that or adjusted it.
