the past few weeks it has been REALY slow....its a toshiba satellite, windows xp, (suppose to be 512mb ram), 80 gig hdd...
now i just recently noticed that under everest and "my computer" its showing only 384mb of memory, anybody know what could fix this or just a bad stick of memory? Thanks

You probably are seeing that because you have an internal grpahics card. In the BIOS you can usually select the amount of memory that is allocated for graphics. It looks like you have it set to 128MB. See if that is the problem, I have my laptop set to 64MB.
