This is not a question - just some info for anyone interested. I have been wanting to work more with subtitles and I just wanted to briefly pass on what I have found and learned. In this case, I wanted to create my own subtitles for a video, then embed them into the video so the viewers don't have to deal with extra subtitle files.
Note: leaving the video intact and using subtitle files is actually WAY better, but in this case, I wanted to "ruin" the video by permanently embedding the subtitles into it. OK, so you need the following freeware programs: SubCreator: http://www.radioactivepages.com/inde...ction=software You only need this if you want to create the subtitles from scratch. Subtitle Edit: http://www.nikse.dk/se/ VirtualDub: http://www.virtualdub.org/download Subtitle filter for VirtualDub: http://www.virtualdub.org/virtualdub_filters
Now the rest is done using VirtualDub.
