Default cleaning hard drive

I know what it means to defrag my hard drive, but what does it mean to clean your hard drive?(another option in 'system tools' in XP)

i'm sure this hasn't got anything to do with removing viruses etc so what is it?

nah, that's disk cleanup. Just use it to free up some space on your hard drive.

Some data is removed, it gives you options what to erase.

Options include:

Downloaded Program Files

Temporary Internet Files

Offline Web Pages

Office Set Up Files

Recycle Bin.

Plus loads others, but get the picture.

Run it then just check or uncheck, what you'd like to erase.
