Custom desktop icons...

I know how to change the icons to custom ones for My Computer, My Documents, My Network Places, and the Recycle Bin by going to desktop properties>customize desktop, but how do I change icons for other items on the desktop, like my folders, Windows Media Player, my browser icon, etc.
I have a TON of folders on the desktop, and I want to have different icons for them, but I simply can't figure it out. Help?

Yes, yes... but how do I designate certain icons for certain folders? I can't seem to figure that out...
I have a lot of folders on my desktop as previously mentioned. With Style XP, I can change the default icon folder, but I want to change INDIVIDUAL folders. How do I do that?
