lol as I live in the UK we dnt have AC in our houses lol its freakin cold enough all ready!! lol, Im not tryna argue against u as im 100% sure u know more than me but wouldnt a heat issue take time to have affect? it seems its almost ALWAYS when i try to run some games (that my computer should easily be able to handle) and wouldnt inefficient power supply actually cause it to turn off? :S sorry for the misleading thread title lol

Actually we do, at a frequency of 50Hz, now onto the issue at hand...
It could be a goahics issue or a PSU issue, perhaps you could run a stress-testing program to see if it shuts down.

lol he dont mean alternating current m8, espeically as thats all you can legally have in the uk due to the fact that its almost impossible to let go of a bare wire for example that is DC... he simply meant an Air Conditioner to aid the cooling of the computer...please correct me if im wrong? lol

oh and the graphics issue thing, take RTCW for example. my computer should run that exceptionally easily as its specs only ask for 16mb graphics and mine's 128mb. can you give me any links for a stress-testing program please? or name one?

Open The case, Try putting a fan blowing into your Case, It MAY be a heat issue
If does no good Remove GPU (or was it integrated card) Blow off all dust, Re-Insert.

Use PC Wizard 2007 to check the temperatures and the voltages as it may be one of those two that's causing it and take a screenshot. Oh and putting Air conditioning on a computer bad practice because it's very moist air that is exhausted from the unit which can cause condensation and ultimately failure.

Exactly why i said a FAN not an AIR CONDITIONER.
You would be suprised at how quickly things in a computer heat up mate My computer has been on for 2 minutes and already the GPU is on 52 Degrees (standard is 64 Degrees for my Card)

Ive used the PC Wizard 2007 to check voltages and temp, they're all fine. although of course the computer is staying on at the moment lol, is it possible that it could be a sudden power surge causes the computer to do this? if so is it possible to save the info from pc wizard as i use the computer to check this?
thanks.. |
