Trying to install XP Media Center Edition over my existing Home Edition of XP, though after pressing my CD key, it gives me this error:
"The product id which you entered is invalid. Please try again." Could it be something with the fact of installing Media Center Edition over Home Edition, not being possible? What will solve this problem? Thanks. Last edited by July1; 05-20-2007 at 06:55 PM. |

are you dual booting or upgrading? you should just format and do a fresh install if you just want a fresh os.

The only thing I can think of is your trying to install your Media Edition with a home cd key or your miss reading the cd key, installing home edition shouldn't interfere with it.
