I am waiting till ju Q3 so maybe some this or other hardware will be cheaper but how does this look if I am going for a top of the linge gaming machine? Yes I do care about getting the best immersive experience in gaming but i would like to do it with minimal money spent as well...I did 2 builds this one which is 1800....and the other is more expensive but is it really necessary to go that route...? I hear dual sli is good but it's not that big of a deal. I am really wanting to play games now but i know most games are not vista compatible anyways so i am waiting for games like spore and crycis and so on...so should i build my computer than or just do it in Q3? and which of these builds would u go with or what owuld you put in or take out...my budget would like to be in 1500-2800....but i could go a little bit higher if recommened...im not sure what games will be needing in future i know these two builds are more than good enough for current games...but thats why i am here...for help...thanks

Hard drive im kind confused....the primary drice should be as low as i can get in capacity and high rpms right? For mass storage than it would be large capacity and rpms dont matta much right? Oh and I am thinking about getting a hdtv tuner card not sure if should on that either. I sthat graphics card too much or hsould I dual sli with 8800gtx or ultas? Or is this too much to spend right now and just upgrade later down road? the price is 5 grand but take out the cpu and sound card and hard drive maybe since i have 2 externals. Should come out to around 4 grand...so if i want the best gaming experieince is it necessary to go this far or should i go with first build? if you have sugesstions let me know...and like i said this is not my final build i want to see if the price drops in the next few months but im probably looking at june or july at latest to do this up. thanks for the helps guys and gals |

Im to tired right now to answer and check everything but il answer the quick question for now :
If theres built in sound you don't need a sound card.

If you're building Q3, there's little point in assembling this list now, as Intel is dropping the Q6600 price to around $250, which will free up money to invest in other parts, some that haven't been released yet, others that may be on sale, and other parts that will drop in price.
