Default building new desktop

PROCESSOR: AMD Athlon 64 X2 AM2 6000+ Processor at 3.0GHz, 2000MHz FSB, 1MB X 2 Cache

RIG COOLING: Vigor MonsoonTM II TEC Active CPU Cooling System with LCD Display and Triple 120MM Case Fan

RIG POWER: Tagan TG1100-U96 TurboJet nVidia-SLI Certified 1100Watt Power Supply

MB CORE LOGIC: Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe AM2 nVidia nForce 590 SLI X 16 MCP w/2000MHz FSB

MEMORY: 4GB Corsair PC2-5300 DDR2 667MHz Memory (4 X 1024MB)

OPERATING HARD DRIVE 1: 250GB S-ATA II 7200 RPM Hard Drive

OPERATING HARD DRIVE 2: 250GB S-ATA II 7200 RPM Hard Drive

DATA HARD DRIVE: 200GB S-ATA II 7200 RPM Hard Drive

VIDEO CARD (SLI SLOT 1) nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB Xtreme @600MHz, DVI and TV Out


Heres my setup, I have to stay inside a 2,500 dollar range and im at 2,560 . Any thoughts on improving this rig would be very apprieciated! Also, I plan on using SLI later and drop in another GeForce 8800GTX same memory and speeds and such can someone give me some info on SLI. Thanks!

Where are you buying that from?? $2560 is alot for that setup.

First, I wouldnt get an X2, I would get a Core 2 Duo. And buy your parts from Newegg.

I'm getting it from www.vigorgaming.com Also, I'm not building it they are building it for me. I'm not too good when it comes to actual piecing together. Any cheaper websites you could point me to though would help a lot.

It's a lot cheaper, also, I agree with OMEGA about getting in Intel Core 2 Duo, they are the better dual core CPU's at the moment.
