Default Windows is starting up = lag

Hi all,

My problem for today is ...

This screen:

For some reason this screen shows up before the logon screen and it takes forever for my logon screen to show up,It never usualy shows that screen but this week its been realy annoying

Btw...windows was re-instaled just last week fresh and its been like it since then.

any recomendations? Ive defrag my hard drive but since windows was only instaled last week anyway i dont think a defrag would make much differance

Have you ran a virus scan, also, download CCleaner, it'll remove a lot of un-needed things that may be 'clogging' up your system.

Try this, go into msconfig (Start>Run>msconfig). In there click on the startup tab and uncheck everything you don't need or don't want to start up. After that click on the services tab and check the "hide all Microsoft Services", then uncheck everything you don't want or don't need. After that click ok and restart your comp.
