I'm looking at the XFX 7950gt seen here:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150189 I was wondering if I should go for the EVGA 8800gts seen here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130082 The 8800gts is a drop in memory size and it's 40 bucks more, but it's also DirectX 10. I'm on a limited budget, so the 8800gts is my absolute max that I can spend. Which should I go with?

yeah it will be ready for the new DX10 games
![]() Honestly i dont see why people still buy DX9 cards anymore..yeah the DX10 cards are a bit more pricy but in the long run you would be getting the DX10 card. the 8600GTS is a good price at £141 http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...uct_uid=127241

I just picked up the 640mb evga last week. It's really nice, being able to play ultra settings, everything maxed out on a 20" screen. If it were me, I'd go ahead and get the 640mb, only because probably 6 months from now, you are going to wish you'd spent that extra $50. Trust me I did the same thing when I bought my 7600gt.

The 8800GTS is a much better card, not to mention it's a DX10 card.

do you think any of the 8600gt's are worth it? They are too new for me to tell, but I was just wondering if it would be worth it to get the cheaper card and still be in the Geforce series 8.
