Default New build for friend

Hey

My friend has asked me to make him a reasonable gaming rig, this is what i have so far...

C2D E4300 - http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...ategory_id=411

Gigabyte DS3 - http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...ategory_id=251

Geforce 7900gs - http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...ategory_id=256

Geforce 8600gt - http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...ategory_id=497

Corsair XMS2 - http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...win2x2048-6400

250Gb western digital HD
Pioneer DVD
case ?
Vista

Corsair 520w - http://www.cclonline.com/product-inf...=cmpsu-520hxuk

I will be overclocking the cpu and gfx card after a few months when he can afford cooling. My main concerns are with the gfx card, i could put in the 8600gt and then he would have DX10 but will the 7900gs perform better in current games?

Also i dont really know what to expect out of either of them cards, will they be ok for playing HL2 on high, far cry quite high etc??

Any comments will be great, thanks

it is a good, budget system. The C2D is the lowest in the line, so I would recommend overclocking it!
