Default PC fan control

does anybody know of a good fan control utility like speed fan?

speed fan didn't work for me so i need a different program.

I didn't know you could have software for controlling fans on your PC, although I have seen the external hardware version.

I think I need it for mine too, as I dont have a fan controller, and my fans are quite noisy. The voltages are all controlled by the software, right? No other hardware, software requirements?

have you tried looking in your BIOS? some mother boards can monitor fan speed and alter it when temperature changes. There could be mobo software you could run in GUI tho.

I'll have to have a look in mine, dont think it will though as its quite an old computer I have.

my mobo does have fan control utility for the CPU heat sinking and it is very quite. but the problem is the 80mm case fan, it is very loud. I have to unplug it and leave the side panel open since it is super hot here.

ya Speed fan can control fan speeds in the pc but for some reason it can't read my new pc correctly, maybe it is outdated.
