My School Computers boot up and perform faster in office applications a lot faster than my home computer. However, I checked the hardware on my school computers, and my home computer has newer hardware, and the same OS (Windows Xp Pro.) I am wondering if any of you know how to optimize Windows XP, just like the people at my school have done, so that it will be faster for homework.
Thanks, ![]()

Could be lots of things... But my guess would be your HDs. Espcailly if they are older ones, but in general, smaller drives are slower. I know, it's not ALWAYS the case
