Default Vista Question

I want to install Vista on my Raptor HD but I only have the 36Gig version. I bought the 36Gig version only to run the OS. I still have lots of space left with XP pro. Now if I want to install Vista Ultimate on it, will it be enough for the OS? Or should I buy another HD?

It should be enough. If I remember correctly, the OS requires something like 15 gigs to install. So 36 should do just fine. But if thats the only hard drive you have, I would recommend getting another one. At least 100 GB.

I have two HD right now. One is the Raptor 36GB for my OS and another 250GB for data and programs. So you are saying that Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit OS shit fit on my Raptor? If that is the case, I dont need another HD. I will switch my old HD to my new rig.

Yes any Vista version will work on your raptor and you will have space left after you install the OS.

It will work with the OS, but it's a pain in the butt to install all your apps, games, and date on a different hard drive. And you lose out on the speed gained when playing games.

Is it pretty slow when playing games on a seperate HD? And how much space do you think I will have left of my 36Gig Raptor? 10gigs or less?
