The materials on outdoor speakers are probably much more stiff so I suspect they wouldn't sound nearly as good as most typical indoor speakers. I can't say for sure as I've never used those particular speakers, but I'd look into getting some new ones. Some decent sets can be fairly cheap.

i have a hard time telling the difference between 'great' speakers and just plain 'good' speakers in a house.

It's so hard to get the acoustics in a room right, that no matter how much you spend on speakers, it's going to end up sounding about the same.

I'd just get something that's affordable, and sounds good to your ear.

If we were talking about headphones, or a car audio install, i'd feel differently, but for a livingroom setup, everything sounds about the same to me.
