Default Movies/Shows playing out of sync.

Hi,
I have a few movies and TV shows on my pc, which I've recorded using my TV tuner, as well as copying from DVD's (family guy). But most of them play out of sync, the sound plays faster then the video, the video plays slower, while the audio plays at the normal speed. Is there anyway to fix this?

Anyone know what's causing this, or how it can be fixed? Bump

My guess is that the software used to record them is causing the problem. Trying to fix the de-sync might not be that easy. However, I assume a higher-end video editing software (like Adobe Premiere or Ulead MediaStudio Pro) could do it, but you might want to see if you can record them using a different program to begin with.

What software are you using? What kind of TV tuner do you have? Does the problem occur regardless of what encoding method you use when recording?
