I am looking for a free/less than $20 audio editing software. I want to edit the commercials out of some of the netcasts that I download. I also want to be able to break up some netcasts so they are four 30 minute files instead of one 2 hour file. Any suggestion?

Audacity will do that, it is free. It works on Windows, Linux, and Mac.

Yeah, I agree with JordanII, go with Audacity. It is by far far far far the best one among freeware and even among non-freeware in the price range you want.
Here is the link: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ |

I third that. It can be difficult to be very precise, but it's the best freeware audio application out there.
