Default CD burner problem....

Hi!

I'm having a problem with my CD burner.

I have no problem both playing and creating discs using CD-rs with it, but for some reason, it suddenly refuses to even acknowledge that there is a store-bought CD in it.

What is that? I know CD burners can get burned out, but why would it choose to read one type of disc and not another? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Default

ASUS 52x32x52
LiteOn 52x32x52
Both in the $35USD pricerang; both classified as 2-sheep burners and well capable of powering through both audio and data protection schemes. Whatever you get just stay away from LG, Phillips, HP, Cicero, Optorite and you'll be fine
